GPAC is partnered with a successful Manufacturing company looking for a Powder Coat Painter.
Essential Functions of the Job
- Load and unload parts or product onto paint fixtures or carts
- Prepare material for paint by use of a variety of methods including shot blasting, sanding, and 5 stage washing
- Mask or plug threaded holes or machined surfaces as required
- Apply powder following standard operating procedures
- Set the cure oven parameters following standard operating procedures
- Perform scheduled checks on the wash system to ensure proper chemistry
- Perform the proper cleaning and maintenance of painting equipment
Knowledge, Skills and, Abilities (KSA's)
- Experienced in the methods and techniques related to safe use, storage and disposal of powder paint, chemicals, and safe cleanup techniques
- Demonstrate ability to work independently or in a group with minimal daily supervision and meet expectations
- Effectively communicate and understand job instructions both verbally and written in the English language
- Must be physically fit to wear PAPR equipment
- Able to use a floor-mounted man lift required
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or GED
- A minimum of two (2) years of powder coat painting experience preferred and /or training or an equivalent combination of education and experience
